Fish and Chip Dinner

THE SUCCULENT FISH DINNER * RUN - SUNDAY 17 NOVEMBER

Witness democracy manifest * while having a succulent fish n chips/ seafood meal and watching the Sun going down and looking over the Bay at the mouth of Cabbage Tree Creek and the beautiful Shorncliffe Headland.

Great way to end your weekend among Lotus mates and our cars.

VENUE: the historic Shelley Inn, Allpass Street, Shorncliffe. Get your fish n chips and picnic in the park opposite on the creek bank .

MEETING POINTS: the run starts at the entry to the car park at Ballymore Rugby ground, right at the north end of Clyde Rd., Herston.

For those coming from the outer northern side or further, you don’t have to come to Herston if you don’t want to. Instead we will catch you up as we pass by Pet Barn/ Chemist Warehouse / Rebel Sport /Liberty Servo on Sandgate Rd., Virginia opposite the Virginia Golf course . Plenty of parking on the side of the road.

Or just meet us at Shelley Inn.

RUN LENGTH: the run takes about 40 minutes from Ballymore.

MEETING TIMES: be at Herston at 4:25 for sign on and a 4:50 pm sharp departure.

If you are meeting us at Virginia it takes about 15 minutes to get from Herston to the Virginia catch up point so be there at 5:00 pm tops. Keep an eye out for the group. We won’t stop but I’ll slow down and toot as we pass.

Or meet us at Shelley Inn at about 5:30.

BRING: fold up chairs ( yes they do fit in the boot of a Lotus) and/or a picnic blanket, jumper in case it gets a little breezy off the water, your own booze and glasses, and cutlery if you don’t want to use the traditional fingers to eat the fish n chips . Salads are on sale in the Inn so you might want a fork anyway.
