GEAR Track Day

The Committee of GEAR extends an invitation to the LOTUS CAR Club of Qld to participate in the track day at Lakeside Park Raceway (LP) on Thursday 27 July 2023.

There are a number of conditions to be observed and agreed to in the event that LOTUS CAR Club of Qld accepts this offer: -
· Participants must be current members of LOTUS CAR Club of Qld, and preferably show their membership card at the GEAR sign on desk.
· We would like as many participants as possible, up to a maximum of 25. We have invited the Westfield Car Club and MX5 Car Club as well.
· This is a non-competitive event. Driver behaviour will be as per GEAR Driver Code of Conduct (attached). Attendance at the driver briefing at 8.30am is compulsory.
· LP will provide a Clerk of Course, track marshals and emergency services.
· Entry is $120 per driver, paid on the day to LP management. Spectators are free.

· LOTUS CAR Club of Qld will be allocated 4 sessions of 15 minutes each, and sessions will rotate around the GEAR sessions. Entrants can expect 4 track sessions, however, this is at the discretion of the Clerk of Course.
· LOTUS CAR Club of Qld entrants must register (Sign-on) with GEAR Committee in the pit area, and in doing so confirm that: 

o their car is in a safe and track worthy condition
o and that they will adhere to the GEAR Driver Code of Conduct.

· It expected that vehicles participating in the LOTUS CAR Club of Qld session will be sports cars, or vehicles of similar design. Similar vehicles will not be permitted, unless approved by the GEAR Committee and LOTUS CAR Club of Qld agree to have the vehicle in their session. The spirit of the invitation is to have like marques on the track in this session.
· Drivers must be fully covered – at a minimum a long sleeve shirt, long trousers, covered shoes and an Australian Standards approved Helmet. AS1698-1988 or AS/NZS 1698:2006.
· Each driver entrant must hold a current driver’s licence and a Clubman RACERS Licence (Annual $75 or Day $30). Information available at https://racers.world/event/2466/do/enter
